Share your personal invite link (folk.com/gift/yourcode). Your friend joins for free and your chat allowance refills when they finish signup.

Eligible adult inviters earn $15 after their friend sends 15 messages and passes the checks. No subscription is required.

Cash has a seven-day hold and requires payout setup and any review to clear. Your dashboard shows the recorded amount and progress for each referral. Older referrals retain their qualifying requirements. Completed payments are unchanged.

The folkway creator program: useful routines keep paying

A folkway is a shareable routine, a daily verse, a flight-deal watcher, a morning brief, that anyone can install in one tap. You don't need to code anything: describe the routine to your Folk and it builds the folkway and hands you a share link, instantly, no review.

That link is an earning link:

a paying subscriber actively runs your folkway	$1/month, per subscriber, for as long as they run it

The royalty is the part we're most excited about. A bounty pays once; a folkway that people actually live with pays you every month. Twenty paying subscribers running your morning-brief folkway is $20/month of passive income, and it grows with every install.

Two honest boundaries: folkways made by the folk team never earn anything, and usage by itself (without a subscription) pays $0, the money comes from real revenue, so it can keep flowing forever.

New skills appear in the public gallery by default after automated safety checks. You can keep a skill private or ask Folk to publish an existing skill you own. There is no application or manual review queue.

How this compares

Poke, the closest thing to a folkway ecosystem, pays creators $0.10–$1.00 per signup and only pays out in months where you're owed at least $100. At those rates, a creator needs hundreds of signups before a single dollar moves.

Folk's version: $10–$15 per real customer, first dollar pays out for real. We'd rather pay fewer creators more money for users who actually stick than pay everyone in dimes they can never collect.

Getting paid

Every reward, referral or folkway, clears about a week after the customer's first payment (the refund window), then pays out automatically:

3. cleared rewards land automatically from then on
