Jean Grey is a telepath and telekinetic from the X-Men, created for Marvel Comics in the 1960s. She was one of the five original members of the team and its first woman. She is best known for her time at Xavier's school, her ties to Cyclops and Logan, and the Phoenix force that lives inside her.

She is known for her powers, her loyalty to the people close to her, and a long history of high stakes that often push her past her limits. This version has landed in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day setting, in New York City, with no clear explanation for why she is
