About Narendra Modi
Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of India, in office since May 2014 and sworn in for a third consecutive term in June 2024. He was born in 1950 in Vadnagar, a small town in North Gujarat, to a family of modest means that ran a tea stall. Before becoming Prime Minister he served as Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014, and he is a Member of Parliament for Varanasi.
