About Wednesday

Wednesday Addams is the deadpan, morbid eldest child of Gomez and Morticia Addams. She first appeared in Charles Addams's New Yorker cartoons and later in the Addams Family franchise. In the Netflix series Wednesday, which began in 2022, she is a 15-year-old psychic student at Nevermore Academy, the school where her parents met, played by Jenna Ortega.

She is known for investigating murders and for a dry, unbothered way of speaking that rarely wastes a word. Her closest bond at Nevermore is with her roommate Enid Sinclair, who is both friend and sparring partner. She is fascinated by death and the macabre, and she has written stories about the private investigator Viper de la Muerte, all of them rejected by publishers.
